JDS is now self-respecting: DK Shivakumar
KPCC president DK Shivakumar has slammed that the JDS, which did not discuss with the Congress, is now taking pride in the party candidate.
Commenting on Kumaraswamy's statement on the support of second preferential votes, he said that although we have had a lot of disagreements in the past, we have stood up to the JDS support from time to time. The party's general secretary Ranjeep Surjewala has appealed to the Congress party to support the party this time to defend the secular principle, which is the decision of the High Command. He said the JDS would support the Congress candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections.
Kumaraswamy has talked a lot about going abroad and other issues during the fall of the alliance government. There are reports in the media about what Kumaraswamy has spoken and what CM Ibrahim has said. The Congress made him the Chief Minister despite 37 legislators. The legislators know what the words were in that case. Nothing in politics is permanent. Thus I have said that there is no need to interpret this issue.
Kumaraswamy can talk about anything in the JDS party. But even though I am the Congress president, I am in consultation with the party leaders. Congress is not just me. He said the second candidate was in talks with all leaders and activists
